Why we go

RE+ 2024 is right around the corner.

If you work in renewable energy, you’ve likely attended RE+ or heard about it. It’s the largest clean energy show in the U.S., and this year it’s expected to exceed 40,000 attendees, surpassing the previous year’s attendance. IHI Terrasun has been attending for as long as any of us remember, even as far back as when the conference was referred to as SPI (Solar Power International) and then ESI (Energy Storage International). But why do we go?

RE+ acts as an incubator for great ideas and conversations between people from all over the world who have descended to talk about renewables, energy projects, financing, supply chain, batteries, inverters, sustainable transportation and policy evolution.

Fostering Intentional Conversations

For the third year, IHI Terrasun is a proud sponsor of the conference. We invest in the event because we are committed to growing the renewable energy industry.

10 years ago, IHI Terrasun was created with the goal of using engineering excellence to create advanced solutions for the energy storage industry. Those solutions are not formed in a vacuum. Conferences like RE+ serve as a meeting space for people to exchange ideas. Presentations, demonstrations, exhibits, talks, sidebars, podcasts, printed materials, and meet and greets all advance the knowledge sharing that’s essential to keep the renewable energy industry, especially energy storage, growing and advancing at the pace we need to have a stable climate.

Working with the right teams is critical to success in the clean energy world. RE+ serves as a common ground for idea makers and industry leaders to connect and learn from one another. Sharing ideas, challenges, and solutions makes for a stronger market that can grow and innovate more quickly, leading us all towards the future we dream of: one that runs on clean energy.

Propelling Our World to a Cleaner Future

Education is one of the most important aspects to RE+. IHI Terrasun’s Manager of Applications Engineering, Eric Biggs, will be speaking this year about the pitfalls in sizing battery energy storage systems (BESS). Eric is an expert in BESS design and his discussion One Size Doesn’t Fit All: Overcoming Pitfalls in Energy Storage System Sizing will highlight IHI Terrasun’s experience in sizing energy storage systems.

Open conversations

IHI Terrasun and our partners operate in a remote-first environment, where most of our conversations happen through a screen. Conferences serve as a way for us to connect with our team in person and meet with our customers and suppliers. In-person conversations can be more focused and productive. When we sit down around the table, it’s our chance to hear about new projects or the expansion, development, and evolution of products and services – theirs and ours. Battery energy storage advancements happen very quickly, so these in-person conversations are critical.

Meeting in person

Every year, IHI Terrasun hosts a customer and supplier event at RE+. Conference days are long, so we create a space for people to unwind and share in our collective achievements. The time to meet each other face-to face-is essential for the personal connections we need to execute on these ever-more complex and challenging projects. Every year we receive extremely positive feedback on the event and get to enjoy time forging connections and experiencing all that the conference has to offer.

Join us at RE+ in Anaheim September 9-12!
