IHI Terrasun wraps up the first summer internship program
This summer, IHI Terrasun launched our first internship program with four talented students. We had the opportunity to get to know them, mentor them and learn from their fresh perspectives and innovative ideas.
Each of our interns brought something unique to the team, and their contributions have left lasting impressions on our team.
Kaylin Byrd on her summer as Marketing Intern: “Being a part of this company has been a valuable experience, full of growth. I got to contribute to the day-to-day operation of a marketing team working in a fast paced, quickly changing renewable energy industry that was deep into planning for a large industry conference, among so many other things. IHI Terrasun has aided in my professional and personal growth, and I am excited to continue my journey here as Marketing Coordinator. I cannot wait to see what is yet to come!”
Harriet Fowler on her summer as an intern with the Human Resources team: “IHI Terrasun Solutions’ summer internship program has been great for professional growth as well as my personal goals. Among other things, I had the opportunity to organize listening sessions for the whole company, seeing the benefits of outreach, targeted group discussions and collaborative discussion. The HR team has invited me to extend my internship through the end of the year to support projects that need to be completed by the end of the year. I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to delving more into the long list of to dos.”
Haroon Kahn reflected on his summer with IHI Terrasun, “The company culture at IHI Terrasun has been an immensely supportive and collaborative environment. Everyone, regardless of their role, is always willing to help me succeed. This supportive culture has provided me room to grow and overcome challenges in a safe place coupled with a sense of belonging.”
David Anderson shared his experience: “I will miss being part of a company that is truly on the front lines of renewable energy. IHI Terrasun is a powerhouse in the Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) industry, and the opportunity to work alongside some of the most talented professionals in the field was an unparalleled experience that I won't forget."
